COVID-19 & Construction

Like many other construction companies and other businesses across the globe, Carlton Building Services has been impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. When the pandemic began, we were working in numerous healthcare facilities (high risk areas) which quickly went on lockdown. Since then we have made numerous adjustments and implemented new policies and procedures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In reviewing OSHA, CDC, and a few other governing bodies, we have implemented the following policies to ensure the safety of our employees and clients:

  • Mandatory use of masks inside of all buildings while working

    • Outside of work, practice social distancing (6 feet or more)

  • Increased frequency of hand-washing

    • Repeated before and after all breaks

  • Increased use of HEPA Air Scrubbers

    • They help remove airborne particles from the air

  • Daily Hygiene Inspections

    • Construction work can be a dirty job, so all employees must practice good hygiene
