Warriors for Life Fund is a nonprofit that helps rehabilitate veterans suffering from disabilities due to their service. Through hockey, Warriors for Life helps veterans navigate the unique challenges of life after service has ended. Many veterans appreciate the nonprofit’s emphasis on building community.

The Challenge

Warriors For Life leased a new building to house their ice hockey rink. The building, however, didn’t have a rink, and they had to find a contractor to manage the construction.

Searching for a Contractor

With a cost-plus contract, the client pays for the expenses and provides a proportion of profits equivalent to the value of the contract. This payment structure created transparency and eased financial stress throughout the rink’s construction.
